Harvest Fest is a celebration of our cannabis culture. A place where the culture could always feel free, despite prohibition. Now that cannabis is legal and its potential is starting to be realized, we are excited to bring this event, this culture, back into the light.
We host the longest running cannabis competition in AMERICA!
Prior to the last two years, Harvest Festival and Freedom Fair was celebrated as a "protestival". We have worked long and hard to earn the respect of the cannabis community in New York (and beyond)!
Damn Sam Productions was conceived in the early 1990s in Beacon, NY (the home of environmental activism as we know it) and was further developed at the famous Arrowhead Ranch in Parksville, NY. DSP was founded to raise money for pro-freedom activism in NY and beyond. The money raised at Harvest Fest and other Damn Sam ventures goes to fund select organizations that focus on a variety of issues, mostly regarding the hemp/marijuana laws, the War on Drugs and its impact on our physical and social environments. Our main focus has been and continues to be full cannabis legalization and a release of all cannabis prisoners. No one is free, until all of us are free!
Past Damn Sam Events include: NYC 420 Celebration, The HempSplash Festivals, AT40 (The 40th Anniversary of the Acid Tests - production and promotion with the Kesey family and others), The High Times WHEE Festival, Spring Planting Festivals, Drive-In Laser Shows (Yasgur Farm, Bethel, NY), Rock Against Racism Concerts (SUNY New Paltz), Salvation Army Toy Drives, and many local concerts to support rallies, lobby days and other political efforts from candidates' campaigns to the NYC Pot Parade concert stage.

Jack Herer, Ask Ed Rosenthal, George Clinton & the 420 Funk Mob, Richie Havens, Hamilton Morris, Immortal Technique, dead prez, Alex & Alison Grey, Rhoney Stanley, Steven and Ina Mae Gaskin, The Wailers, Cabinet, Bluestar Radiation, Melvin Seals & JGB, New Riders of the Purple Sage, Dead Milkmen, Levon Helm, Particle, High Times Cannabis Cup Band, Col.
